Matt and Trent have known each other since they played on the same T-Ball team circa early 2000s. They didn’t become inseparable friends until Trent boldly asked to be invited to Matt’s pool party in 6th grade during recess. He wasn’t originally invited but Matt gave him one anyway, the rest was history.
Hunter moved to Indian Mills in 6th grade. Trent told him on his first day that the school was built on an ancient Native American burial ground and that the school was haunted. Hunter didn’t believe him but for some reasons decided to be friends anyway. Trent and Hunter stayed close through high school, eventually going to college together and being roommates for almost seven years. Fun fact, his wife is in Laurel’s party.
Margaret is Laurel’s cousin on her mom’s side of the family. They have been inseparable since birth and found out at an early age that they were destined to be best friends for life, just like their moms. Margaret is the most beautiful person Laurel knows, inside and out. She is thoughtful and selfless. She is truly the funniest person on the planet. She has made Laurel pee her pants on multiple occasions from laughing so hard. No words can do justice to how much Margaret means to Laurel. She is her soul sister in every way and Laurel can’t imagine this day without her by her side.

Lucy is Laurel’s oldest friend, minus Laurel’s family members. Lucy has kept Laurel on her toes since she was in the 5th grade. They have never wavered from each other, even living in different states for majority of their adult life. The best memories from middle school and high school were with Lucy, at her family’s lake house in Ohiopyle. Picture 15 year old Lucy, driving her family boat down the lake with Laurel hanging on for dear life to the tube dragging behind. After a day full of bruises and concussions, her dad would make his classic burgers (still mooing). Life was good. Life will always be good with Lucy in Laurel’s life. Lucy is one of a kind and truly a girls best friend.
Mea and Laurel have been best friends for 15 years. They have been through every big and small life event together. Mea is the epitome of a loyal friend, the person who is always there for a cry, advice or a good laugh. She is so damn funny and also an incredible mom to 2 beautiful girls. Even despite Mea’s busy life, she always finds time to send a thoughtful message and a card for every occasion. Laurel has seen her do some questionable things throughout the years, like eat 8 hotdogs in one sitting and draw abs on her stomach with sharpie. Rumor has it, those abs are still intact, even after the 8 hot dogs.
Believe or not, TJ’s grandparents actually knew Trent’s grandparents when they were growing up. A friendship decades in the making. TJ and Trent have been friends for years. They have been roommates, breakup buddies, and survived a home invasion together. Fun fact TJ is the only person Trent has watched The Notebook with.
Fun Fact Jesse Rich couldn’t stand Trent when they first met in 8th grade. As the years went on they went from enemies, to friends, to roommates, to being a groomsman. As the years go on their friendship only gets stronger and Trent can always count on Jesse for sound, reasonable, and honest (very honest) advice. They have stayed close and can always depend on each other for whatever life throws at them.
Maggie and Laurel became friends their junior year of nursing school after becoming “health assessment” partners. Although they gave terrible nursing assessments, barely passed the class, and couldn’t get through the day without bursting out laughing, they quickly realized they loved each other and would be lifetime besties. After about 2 weeks of friendship, they decided to live together after graduation, despite Maggie’s severe cat allergy. They were roommates for 3 years until they moved in with their significant others. Maggie and Hunter (Trents Best Man) will be getting married this August. The four of them will be forever friends.
Jade is Laurel’s cousin on her mom’s side. Jade and Laurel have always been close growing up, but became especially connected when Laurel and Trent moved to Jupiter, Florida, also where Jade lived at the time. It didn’t feel real to Jade, Laurel or Margaret to all live in the same state, 10 minutes apart from each other. It honestly felt like a dream. Jade is so funny and quirky, you never get tired of being around her. Laurel has always looked up to Jade and can remember from a young age wanting to be just like her. So much so, that when Jade decided to move back to DC last year, Laurel and Trent also make the decision to move back to Philadelphia. Some things never change.
Trent and Sean’s friendship is full of fun memories like camping in his backyard and spending hours hanging out after school. Sean is always game for anything, whether it be driving around at night during high school looking for scrap metal or having us at Bloomsburg for a weekend bash. Sean has always been a good friend and it’s an honor having him in the party. Fun fact Sean’s birthday is the day before the wedding (everyone wish him a Happy Birthday).
The groomsmen that Trent has known the longest, his cousin Chad. In their youth their parents used to joke (but maybe not) that they looked so similar they would take the wrong kid home. They spent countless summers together and stayed close throughout the years. Neither Chad or Trent have a brother but they always considered each other just that.
Gianna (G-Man) and Laurel go way back. It all started when Laurel was introduced to Gianna by Lucy when they were younger. Lucy and Gianna grew up together and we’re best friends before Lucy moved to York. Laurel and Gianna became friends instantly. They spent countless summers at the lake house together and eventually became roommates at Temple. Gianna is unlike anyone you’ll ever meet. She is funny and witty. She loves her friends and may be as loyal as they come. She is supportive, no matter what the situation. Laurel is so grateful to have her as a lifelong friend.
Hannah is Trent’s amazing sister. It is an understatement to say Laurel could not have gotten luckier with her future sister in law. Hannah is so cool, creative and artistic. She is incredibly selfless and loves her brother with all of her being. Trent and Hannah’s relationship was admirable growing up, and they continue their closeness into adulthood. Laurel and Hannah hit it off instantly. They are very different, but also never run out of things to talk about. They love each other very much and can’t wait to be official sisters.
James Alex Lamb, or just Lamb to Trent, moved down the street from Trent junior year of high school. They briefly interacted on the bus and Trent learned Lamb had a car in the shop. Trent asked for a ride to school and they became fast friends. Although meeting later than most of the party, Lamb and Trent became close friends through senior year shenanigans and living together post high school. Lamb is a great friend to Trent and they would do anything for each other.
Trent and Jordan became instant friends when they met. He is Laurel’s brother, but might still be in Trent’s party even without the family tie. Jordan has a huge heart and knows he would drop anything for a friend in need. Trent couldn’t be happier to have him as a brother-in-law. Fun fact, Trent asked Jordan’s permission to marry Laurel years before they got engaged.
Tori and Laurel became friends when they worked together at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Both brand new nurses, they were just trying to navigate how to survive their first year. Tori attempted to hang out with Laurel outside of work a few times, but it never worked out. Finally, it happened and it was instant friendship. Laurel always describes Tori as “the best friend she never knew she needed.” Tori is always the life of the party and will always make an effort to spend time with the people she cares about. Tori lives in San Diego now, but you know she’ll be getting down on the dance floors of Philly come December.
Charlie is Laurel’s first pet in adulthood. Laurel insisted she had to get an animal for her Jefferson apartment after transferring from Temple from her 3 roommates. Her and Charlie took on the nursing world together. Charlie let Laurel practice nursing assessments on her and is most likely the reason she passed nursing school. She never complained and was always supportive. She is the best roommate Laurel has ever had.
Laurel and Trent met George during Covid at a rescue called Big Dog Ranch in Florida. They knew George would be theirs forever when he immediately jumped on Laurel, kissed her whole face and proceeded to pee all over her lap. Since then, George has spent most of his time on the couch (he’s afraid of slippery floors), playing with his bestie, Penny the Wheaten, and practicing his Best Dog speech for the wedding. Georgie is the goodest boy of them all.
